Credit - This hurdle is worth getting over before starting the home-buying process. Whether your credit is lacking history, or you don't have any history at all. The solution is to start a history by obtaining credit of some sort. For example, getting a spouse or relative to add you as an authorized user on a credit card account with a long history of being paid on time or, apply for a credit card on your own. In the past, I've had my clients open a Fingerhut card to start building credit, quickly. The Experian credit bureau has introduced Experian Boost which allows you to use your current utilities (water, gas, cable, internet, phone) as credit lines to boost your score. Depending on what's on your report, a good loan officer will be able to advise you on how to move the needle on your scores and get you mortgage ready. If you'd like to get your credit reviewed for an upcoming purchase, email a request to daniel.gajramsingh@gmail.com or you can call or text me at 571-354-9933
